Booking Terms & Conditions

Please read these Booking Conditions carefully, since they, along with the other information on this website, set out the terms and conditions of the contract between you, Galicia Holiday and the property owner or activity supplier.
We act as the booking agent for the suppliers of the component parts of the holidays we organize and, as such, bookings for their services will form a direct contract between you and the relevant supplier and will be subject to that supplier's standard terms and conditions.

✓ Website Accuracy

We take great care to make this website accurate. Sometimes changes outside of our control may occur and we reserve the right to change any facilities, services or prices at any time.
Scenic pictures on this website are to convey an impression of the region, but may not have been taken in the immediate vicinity of the location or accommodation on the web page on which they appear.

✓ Making a Booking and paying the Deposit & Balance

You can confirm your booking directly through our website or by email.
You must provide the correct and relevant details, including any special requests, on behalf of all members of your party and pay the Deposit as required within 3 working days.
The acceptance of your booking and payment of the deposit means you have read and agreed with our terms and conditions.
When the deposit is completed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your booking and property details.
Four weeks before arrival you will be contacted to finalise the payment of the rental balance, the instructions for the meeting arrangements and book any special requests or activities.

✓ Confirmation Email

The confirmation email will contain all the general and detailed information about your booking and accommodation.
(Accommodation address, contact details, arrival and departure times, safety deposit, etc.)

✓ Payment of the Balance

The balance of your booking will be specified in your Confirmation Email.
Most properties require the payment of the balance 30 days before arrival by bank transfer directly to the Accommodation/Owner.
Some properties will require the payment of the balance upon arrival in cash (Euros €).

The party leader will be responsible for payment of the balance for everyone named on the booking form, even if some names were added after the initial booking was made. If you do not pay the balance by the due date, we may cancel your booking and levy the appropriate cancellation charge set out below.

✓ Payment of Activities (boat tickets, tours & excursions)

Most activities must be paid in full at time of booking. There will be exceptions in special bespoke tours where a deposit will be required at time of booking and the balance 30 days before arrival.
Due to availability we recommend you to pre-book the activities before travelling to Galicia.
Once booked, you will be able to change the date and time up to 24 hours before. Subject to availability.

✓ Method of payment and card fees

The payment of the deposit is generally required by card, but we also accept bank transfer (Sterling and Euros). Please be aware that in all card payments a surcharge of 3.6% will be added to the total amount payable.

✓ Number of people

Only those persons named on the booking form may occupy the villa. Any additional persons added or changes made to the booking by you, once it has been confirmed, must be approved by Galicia Holiday.

✓ Changes & Cancellations made by the client

Any changes or cancellations must be made in writing.
Any date changes made to a confirmed booking will be charged with a fee of 50 €
If you wish to cancel a confirmed booking our Cancellation charges are as follows:
For bookings cancelled more than 60 days prior to the start of the holiday: the deposit paid
30 to 60 days to the start of the holiday: 50% of accommodations costs
15-30 days to the start of the holiday: 75% of accommodations costs
1-15 days to the start of the holiday: 100% of accommodations costs.
Accommodation swap is considered a cancellation and therefore you will be charged.

✓ Changes & Cancellations made by the suppliers

We reserve the right to make changes to your holiday arrangements after we have confirmed your booking; if we have to do so, we will inform you as soon as possible and will make suitable alternative arrangements.
If it is a minor change, we will do our best to notify you, but we are under no obligation to do so or to pay you compensation.
If it is a major change, or if we have to cancel your holiday before the departure date, we will try our upmost to make suitable alternative arrangements e.g. if the property you have booked becomes unavailable, we will try to find you suitable alternative accommodation.
Should you decide that the changed arrangements are not suitable, we will refund all expenses paid.
Compensation will not be considered appropriate i.e. in cases where a major change has to be made as a result of force majeure.
Force majeure is unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which neither we nor our suppliers could avoid, examples of which are war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire or adverse weather conditions, level of water in rivers, or other similar events beyond our control.

✓ Complaints

We act as booking agents to property owners and therefore accept no liability for any complaints which may arise during your stay, however we do pass these on to the property owners and try to resolve any complaint in the best way possible.
In the event that you feel you have cause for complaint please report the matter to us without delay and before you leave the property. We ask that you give us a reasonable amount of time to try and help you.

✓ Liability

Galicia Holiday and its representatives act only as booking agents between the client and the property owner. The property owner is responsible for the conditions of the property. Galicia Holiday accepts no liability for any personal injuries or damages which may occur while using the property.

✓ Breakage Deposit

A breakage deposit will be requested for some villas and must be paid up on arrival to our representative or villa owner in Euros. The breakage deposit will be refunded on the day of your departure, minus any damage costs. All breakages must be reported to our local representative immediately.

✓ Arrival/Departure at your Villa

In order for our villas to be prepared for new arrivals, we ask clients to vacate their accommodation by 12.00 pm. It can take more than three hours to prepare your accommodation on changeover day and it is possible that the maid may be finishing her duties when you arrive.
The arrival time at the villa will be specified in your Confirmation Email or Document.

✓Advise the owner of your Arrival Time

The property owner will expect your arrival at the villa at the time specified in the Confirmation Document.
If you are arriving at a different time, you must advise the property owner at least 2 hours beforehand. We recommend to text or call the owner on the number specified in the Document.

✓ Our Suppliers

The relevant supplier's terms and conditions will apply to all arrangements made between them and you, the client.

✓ Passports / Travel Documents

British and other EU citizens require a full passport for travel to Spain. If you are from outside the EU, you will need to check on whether you need a visa.

✓ Special Requests

We are pleased to try and help with any special requests that you may have, but cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet all such demands.

✓ Travel Delay

If you suffer a transport delay at the outward or homeward point of departure, we will endeavor to offer what help we reasonably can. We will not be responsible for supplying any extra accommodation or refreshment; the relevant transport provider may do so.

✓ Insurance

All clients must have adequate holiday insurance, which you may arrange with an insurance agent of your choice, as we do not include or issue holiday insurance.
